- Ownership is vital: Only songs you physically own (not streamed) can be used.
- Copyright matters: Make sure the song isn’t copy-protected.
Step-by-Step Ringtone Creation
- Open Apple Music.
- Locate your chosen song: Find the perfect melody in your music library. Let the music play, and note down the exact timestamps for your desired ringtone start and end points (remember, ringtones can’t be longer than 30 seconds!).
- Get Info: Right-click on the song and select “Get Info.”
- Time to edit: A window with song details appears. Click “Options” to reveal timecode sections for Start and Stop.
- Set the ringtone window: Check the “Start” box and enter your chosen start time. Repeat for the “Stop” box with your end time. Click “OK” to save your edits.
