The 2022 iPad, the 10th generation iPad, offers a significant upgrade over its predecessor. The most noticeable change is the jump to a larger, 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with a modern design that matches the iPad Air and Pro. This makes it more immersive for watching videos, browsing the web, or taking notes. The performance is also a leap forward thanks to the A14 Bionic chip, which easily delivers smooth multitasking and even handles demanding games. Battery life is another improvement, lasting up to 10 hours for video playback. Plus, you get the convenience of USB-C charging.
However, there are a couple of things to consider. The base storage starts at 64GB, which might be limiting for some users. Additionally, the Apple Pencil support is for the first generation model, which lacks the newer Pencil’s magnetic attachment and wireless charging. Overall, the 2022 iPad is a great choice for those looking for a powerful, affordable tablet with a beautiful display and modern design. But, if you need the latest Apple Pencil features or a larger storage capacity, you might want to consider the iPad Air.
