Apple released a new version (build 21E237) of iOS/iPadOS 17.4.1 last week. This update wasn’t delivered through the usual automatic update process and requires manual computer installation.
The reason for this new build needs to be clarified. While the original 17.4.1 addressed bugs and security issues, details about this new version are still being determined. Some speculate it might be related to the upcoming iPad Air and iPad Pro launch, but there’s no confirmation from Apple.
If you still need to install the previous 17.4.1 update or want this latest build, you’ll need to download the IPSW file and install it manually through your Mac’s Finder app.
